Peerzada to reveal secrets behind recent controversy at ‘appropriate time’
‘UP, Punjab election debacle won’t have any effect on J&K Congress’
Srinagar, Mar 17 (VOS): Senior Congress leader and Minister for Public Enterprises, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed Saturday said that he will reveal the secrets behind the recent examgate controversy “at an appropriate time.”
After addressing a public gathering in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Peerzada told reporters, “I am innocent was made victim of conspiracy.”
Asked he had said that he will reveal the truth before public, the Minister said, “It isn’t an appropriate time. Everything will come out at an appropriate time.”
He claimed that internal bickering within Board of School Education (BOSE) could be one of the reasons for the recent controversy in which he was alleged that he favored his son to pass matric exam with the help of some BOSE officials.
The Congress leader claimed that he has been made victim of conspiracies in the past also. “In 2008 conspiracy was hatched to defame me. I had offered to resign then also as PCC president. But the high command didn’t accept my resignation like this time,” he added.
On Congress debacle in UP and Punjab assembly elections, Peerzada said, “It won’t have any effect on J&K Congress.”
He claimed that Congress was united in the state.
