Adequate quantity of chemical fertilizers available in Valley
Control Room established in Directorate of Agriculture
 Jammu, Mar 5 VOS): With a view to ensure distribution of quality chemical fertilizers to the farming community, Director Agriculture Kashmir, Dr. Farooq A. Lone convened a meeting of officers of Agriculture Department & Law Enforcement Agency.
            It was disclosed that there were sufficient stocks of Urea, DAP & MOP to meet current requirements in the Valley. It was given out 26682.60 MTs of Urea, 14001 MTs of D.A.P. & 5725.80 MTs of M.O.P. have been made available through NFL, IPL, IFFCO, CFCL & TCL (Tata) for Valley and the same has been dispatched to all districts as such there is no shortage of fertilizers in any district.
            Meanwhile, a Control Room has been established in the Directorate of Agriculture to monitor the availability of fertilizers and other inputs in the Valley.
            The farming community of Valley is advised to contact Nodal Officer of the Control Room, Mudabir Jaleel on Mobile No. 9419004399 or Telephone No.: 0194-2312051 in case of any shortage or complaint regarding fertilizers in any part of the Valley.
            Farmers are requested to purchase various chemical fertilizers as per MRP printed on the bags.
