J&K Bank Football Academy enters quarter-finals
Srinagar, Mar 13: J&K Bank Football Academy entered into the quarter-finals of 2nd Rajiv Gandhi Football Gold Cup beating Churchill Brothers Jammu by 2-0 at GGM Science College, Jammu.
After a goal-less draw at half time, Academy boys dominated the second half. In the 25th min of 2nd half Adnan Ayub earned a penalty kick for the team, when he was unlawfully brought down by the defender of opposite team in the penalty area, which was converted into goal by Mohit. Two minutes later, Jamshed scored the second goal to end the game 2-0 in favour of the Bank Academy.
Chairman Bank's Sports Board Tafazul Hussain has conveyed his pleasure to the Bank's junior Academy team for continuing their superb performance in their first tournament appearance.
