IMPCC holds meet

JAMMU, MARCH 06- Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Director News, AIR & Doordarshan Kendra, Srinagar, Mr. Bashir Malik who is also the chairman of the committee.

Issues regarding coordination between various media institutions including Doordarshan, Directorate of Information, Radio Jammu, Press Information Bureau and other related departments were deliberated upon in detail.

Addressing the meeting, Director Information, Kh. Farooq Renzushah assured IMPCC members that the department will provide full support to IMPCC for implementing all public awareness programmes and projecting various view points for information to general public. Doordarshan Jammu, Mr. Shabir Mujahid suggested that the IMPCC should organize public awareness programmes on important social issues at district level as well.

Director Doordarshan, Leh, Mr. Qayoom Wadera said that DD, Leh will play its role in ensuring that composite culture of J&K State is properly reflected.

Chairman, IMPCC, Mr. Bashir Malik thanked all participants for making the programmes of IMPCC successful. It was also decided in the meeting that on 16^th April, 2012 IMPCC will organize a joint programme at Gen. Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu.
