Farmers awareness camps held at Tailbal, Soibug

            SRINAGAR, MARCH 15: In order to educate the farmers about the latest and hi-tech Agriculture technology for promotion of agriculture production and increase productivity per unit area, Department of Agriculture Kashmir organised Farmers awareness camp at Koshipora Tailbal and Cheewa, Soibug today.

            On the occasion experts of the department interacted with the farmers and asked them to develop this sector on the latest scientific technology and stressed on increasing the food production by new methods. Experts also educated farmers about proper use of inputs and measures for optimum cropping and advised them to cultivate cash crops and side by side adopt home based industry like Mushroom cultivation and Bee keeping.

            Experts stressed the participating farmers to coordinate with Agriculture Department for successful implementation of various schemes launched by the department.

            Participating farmers gave an overwhelming response and also interacted with the experts on various issues related to adoption of scientific techniques in Agriculture and allied sectors.
