Advisor to Prime Minister holds discussions with Governor

           JAMMU, MARCH 9 – Mr. T. K. A. Nair, Advisor to the Prime Minister, held discussions with Mr. N. N. Vohra, Jammu and Kashmir Governor, at Raj Bhavan last evening and today afternoon, before his return to Delhi.

          During their two meetings, the Governor and Mr. Nair discussed wide-ranging issues relating to the measures required for securing the rapid development of the State on all fronts, particularly with reference to power, water, roads and bridges, education and health. They also discussed matters relating to early establishment of urban and rural local self-governing institutions and steps required to promote transparency and accountability in the functioning of the governmental apparatus.
