Intake capacity of NIT
Srinagar increased from 330 to 632: Malik
JAMMU, MARCH 05:-Minister for Higher
Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today said that the erstwhile Regional
Engineering College, Srinagar was upgraded to the NIT and intake capacity was
increased from 330 to 632.
The Minister was replying to a question
raised by Haji Ali Mohammad Bhat today in the Legislative Council. He said the
admissions are made on the basis of AIEEE merit and are on 50:50 basis. 50%
seats are reserved for students of J&K State and are admitted on the merit
secured by them in the AIEEE merit of J&K State, remaining 50% students are
admitted on the basis of merit determined on All India basis.
