Committee headed by CS to decide on outside degrees: Taj

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din on behalf of Education Minister informed the House that government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to take a decision about the certificates obtained by the J&K students from different private colleges, deemed universities outside the state through distance mode or regular basis.

The Minister was replying to a question by Mr. Murtaza Ahmed Khan on behalf of Mr. Nizam-ud-Din Khatana. He said SSRB is presently considering the degrees obtained through distance mode from IGNOU, MANU and DOEAC as per standing instructions
