Obama’s statement against
stated US policy: Yasin Malik
“Dalai Lama should have
learnt from Shankracharya”
Srinagar, July 16 (VOS): Jammu
and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Yasin Malik has expressed distress over
the statements of U.S. President Barrak Obama and Tibetan leader Dalai Lama on
Kashmir. Yasin termed the statements as most unfortunate and unwise.
“Statements like these don’t help but are like rubbing salt on the wounds of
subjugated people”, Malik said
Malik who is in Delhi has
been admitted in Fortis hospital Delhi for treatment.
While expressing his
shock over the statement of president Obama, Yasin Malik said Obama’s statement
is against the stated policy of U.S.A on Kashmir. “U.S. has always been asking
for a solution to this vexed issue which is according to the wishes and aspirations
of Kashmiri people”, he said.
Yasin said that it was
U.S and other world powers which persuaded Kashmiris to change their struggle
from violent to non violent. “Kashmiris respected the world and from the year
2008, according to the wishes of world, changed the mode of struggle from
violent to non violent. It was the duty of U.S. and the world to respect this
positive change of Kashmiri’s and efforts should have been under taken for a
speedy solution to this issue”, he said, “but instead efforts are made to push
us to the wall”, he said.
Yasin said this attitude
has neither helped in the past nor will it help in future. “This attitude of
U.S. and the world has made this world unsafe and is pushing nations and
peoples to violence instead of pursuing them to the non violent mode of
struggle”, he said.
Yasin said that
U.S. and the world should know that Kashmir is not a border issue between India
and Pakistan neither is it the issue of drum driven cattle. This is the issue
of future of millions of Kashmiri’s. This issue has direct bearing on the
peace, prosperity and stability of the world and sub-continent. This issue
cannot be solved by India and Pakistan bilaterally without Kashmiri’s. Instead
world including India and Pakistan must acknowledge the owner and main party
status of Kashmiri people and try to resolve this vexed and dangerous issue by
the direct participation of Kashmiris and according to the wishes and
aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
Yasin, while commenting
on the statement of Dalai Lama said “t the statement by a religious leader of
the stature of Dalai Lama is most regrettable. We respect him as a religious
leader but have only one question to him that If we Kashmiris go to Tibet and
declare Tibet as an integral part of China and issue statements against the
Tibetan people, how will Dalai Lama and other Tibetans feel”, he said.
“Dalai Lama should have
taken a lesson from respected Shankar Acharaya Jee who happens to lead more
people than Dalai Lama, who in his recent visit to Kashmir acknowledged the
struggle of Kashmiri’s and condemned the atrocities being committed on us by
Indian forces”, Yasin Malik said “It is highly unfortunate if religious
leaders’ also act with a “more loyal than king” attitude”, he added.
People must protect
religious places after Govt failure: Nayeem khan
Srinagar, July 16 (VOS): Calling
upon people to ensure safety of religious places and shrines, National Front
Chariman Nayeem Khan has said “The so called Government has failed in
protecting the religious places so people must themselves take measures to
protect their places of religious importance”, Khan said in Rathsona Beerwah
where Baba Lateefuldin Reshi’s Dargah was gutted in a mysterious fire.
Khan said that the so
called Government had already failed to protect the common citizens but
now it has also failed in protecting the places of faith as well so
the so called Government should take the responsibility of devastation of
Dastageer Sahab and Dargahe Baba Haneefuldin Reshi(RA).
Nayeem Ahmad Khan praised
the people of Beerwah for the patience which they exhibited after the tragic
incident. He said that the designs of those elements who are hell bent to
sabotage the freedom movement can be defeated only when people take
responsibility to protect their places of faith their selves. Nayeem Ahmad Khan
said that the elements who are behind the heinous crimes of fire in Dastageer
Sahab and Baba Haneefuldin Beerwa have one and only one goal and that is to
divide the people of Kashmir so it is very important for people to be united so
that anti movement elements are defeated as always. Khan said that People of
Kashmir are very sad because their centers of faith, identity and heritage are
in danger but at the same time Kashmiries are aware about their very precious
movement for which they have rendered tremendous sacrifices. Nayeem Khan said
that people themselves should take solid measures to protect their
places of faith.
