Mir inaugurates Aga Syed Hassan Mall, says Govt. has infused confidence in local investors
            BUDGAM, JULY 06: Asking the people to extend full support for maintaining peaceful atmosphere in valley, Minister for Agriculture, Mr Ghulam Hassan Mir said that peaceful atmosphere has boosted confidence among the local investors to make investments in their inherited places.
            Mr Mir said investment in different viable sectors in J&K is the only solution to address the unemployment issue as well as it would help to strengthen the economy of the state.
         The Minister said this while inaugurating the Aga Syed Hassan Mall at Budgam and Mirch-Masla Restaurant at Dhobiwan Tangmarg. He said peace is pre-requisite for investors adding that now people of the valley are very much aware that “if they have to compete with other parts of the world for which they have to work collectively for maintaining peace in the state”. He said this could only motivate the investors to invest in J&K.
            Appreciating the efforts of local investors of the valley, Mr Mir said that they are now investing very enthusiastically across the state citing the example of Narbal Tangmarg road, where dozens of shopping malls and show rooms of Kashmir handicrafts have been opened. He said this has also increased the tourist influx to the area and also provided ample employment opportunities to the local youth.
            Speaking on the occasion, Aga Sayed Hassan Ali Safvi said the objective of setting up of mall in district Budgam is to infuse movement in economic activity in the area and provide employment opportunities to the local youth.  He said that “we have to work collectively together for progress and prosperity of the people although having differences on political considerations”.

Assurance Committee for prioritizing inaccessible areas for road network
SRINAGAR, JULY 06:- Assurance Committee (AC) of Legislative Assembly has directed the officers and engineers of Public Works Department (PWD) to prioritize the inaccessible areas of the state for road network connectivity so that communication facilities and linkages are provided to these areas with major towns. It asked them to conduct survey of these areas and prepare comprehensive Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and ensure road connectivity in these areas in a time frame.
The Committee, which met under the chairmanship of MLA, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi here today discussed in detail on various Assurances and action taken reports besides construction of Flyover Bridge from Jewel Chowk to Talab Tiloo and Bikram Chowk to Gandhi Nagar College.
The Committee with its members Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Shah and Mr. Ashok Kumar directed the officers and engineers of R&B department to fulfill all Assurances made on the floor of the House from time to time pertaining to their departments in a time bound manner.
The Panel asked the concerned to complete the construction work of Bandipora-Sopore road by the end of November this year.
Discussing the construction of flyover bride from Jehangir Chowk to Rambagh, the Director Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA), informed the meeting that the tender for the project would be floated on July 23 under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and will be allotted by the end of November this year. He also informed that the target for completion of the bridge is three years.
In response about the Assurance of construction of bridges at village Kaigam, Sail, Larmoh, Seer Gong, Chankitar, Haripora in Tral constituency, the meeting was informed that DPRs at a cost of more than Rs.11 crore have been prepared and would be taken up for execution in a phased manner.
After satisfaction from reply, The Committee dropped some Assurances.
About the Assurance regarding construction of road from Dawar to Cheekwal in Gurez area, the Committee directed the concerned to submit Action Taken Report within ten days to the Committee for examination.    
Among others Commissioner Secretary, PWD, Mrs. Tanveer Jehan, Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Mr. A. H. Sheikh, Director ERA, Mr. Khalid Muzaffar, Managing Director, JKPCC, Mr. M. M. Gupta and senior officers of Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
