volunteers donated blood at Lawaypora
SRINAGAR,
JULY 07: A blood donations camp was today held at Lawaypora Srinagar in which
30 Volunteers donated their blood.
The camp was organized by Directorate of Health services Kashmir. A good number
of local people and volunteers organizations participated in the
camp.
The Director Health Service in his address stressed for organisation of such
camps in far off and remote areas of the state so that the benefit of these
camps percolates down to people living in distressed conditions.. He asked
concerned officers to initiate a vigorous campaign about the
significance of blood donation and said that it was a good beginning that people come forward for donating blood
voluntarily.
Later the Director visited Noorbagh Hospital and addressed the function held in
connection with celebration of world population fortnight.

holds video conference with DCs
SRINAGAR, JULY 07: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr Asgar
Hassan Samoon today held video conference with all Deputy Commissioners. The
conference was also attended by Director General, Fire & Emergency Service
Dr. G A Bhat and Director CAPD, Mir Mushtaq Ahmed.
During the conference issues related to implementation of rates fixed for
essential commodities were discussed. Divisional Commissioner instructed that
rates notified by government should be realistic so that they are adhered to
strictly and wherever violations are brought to the notice necessary action
should be initiated.
Divisional Commissioner also directed the DCs to ensure completion of fire
safety audit of important shrines. He also took stock of the availability and
distribution of essential commodities in the districts.
Mr. Samoon also took strong notice of complaints of inflated
rates of bricks. He directed that a committee headed by DC Pulwama would look
into this matter and submit a report within a week. Divisional Commissioner
also took notice of the allegations of sale of cement at higher rates and
directed Director CAPD and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Baseer Ahmed Khan to
resolve the matter.

Yatries provided healthcare by ISM Ang
SRINAGAR, JULY 07: The department of Indian Systems of Medicine
J&K has established 10 medical aid camps for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2012 at
various locations enroute to holy cave via Pahalgam and Baltal routes for
providing medical aid services to the pilgrims through Unani and Ayurvedic
medicines.
A team of dedicated doctors and paramedical staff have been deployed who are
providing 24x7 medical services to yatries. A total number of 13957 patients
have been treated at various camps from June 25 till date who were provided
free medicines and were given valuable health education for smooth conduct of
Yatra.

Entrepreneurship programme for students

JULY 7: S. P.
College under the banner of Career Counseling and Placement in collaboration
with JKEDI organized an awareness programme about Entrepreneurship Development
at college camps today.
Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, Principal of the college in his address
sensitized the audience about the advantages of entrepreneurship development
ventures that can facilitate employability of themselves and others so as to
contribute in terms of commercial profitability as well as social
profitability.
Mr. Gowher Durani, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI apprised the
students about “Entrepreneurship” and various schemes offered by the Government in this regard. He
deliberated upon at length on the seed capital scheme launched recently. The
deliberations were followed by an interactive session in which the queries
raised by the aspiring entrepreneurs were convincingly answered by the speaker.
