CM meets Governor 

SRINAGAR, JULY 6 - Mr. Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, met Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today. 

In their over an hour long meeting, the Governor and the Chief Minister discussed issues relating to internal and external security and rapid socio-economic development of the State. They also discussed issues relating to effective coordination between all concerned government and private agencies for securing continuing upgradation of facilities for satisfactorily meeting the challenges posed by the progressively increasing tourist arrivals in the State alongside the increasing strength of the two important pilgrimages to the State, one of which is round the year.

 Issues relating to strengthening of anti-corruption measures and continuing improvement in the functioning of the governmental machinery were also discussed.

Prof. Radha Kumar meets Governor

SRINAGAR, JULY 6 – Prof. Radha Kumar, who was one of the Centre’s Interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here this evening.

During their meeting, the Governor and Prof. Radha Kumar discussed various issues relating to J&K being developed as a frontline State in the country.
